ExhiBotanist

ExhiBotanist is a lewd pixel art visual novel (coded from scratch ofc) that sprang out from the combination of my dissatisfaction with my experiences with the local kink “community”-wannabes and a bug I had in the texture mapping in SpaceCore which I (ab)used to animate sprites. It has lovingly crafted graphics, a small but colorful variety of characters, the occasional easter egg, and more bad puns than I care to admit.

• Update 4 (2024-04-13): optimised engine a lot (parsing, archiver), merged the halloween version into main, many bugfixes. Planning to work on content next.
• Update 4.1 (2024-04-20): bugfixes (negative relative offsets didn’t work, occlusion offset was miscalculated, moved some rooms around a bit, fixed an interface issue where the skip option selected default menu option - it shouldn’t’ve interacted with menus at all), added/fixed some assets (groundwork for plant encyclopedia - currently inaccesible due to lack of content), disabled debug mode for public releases
