"Catra!" Micah rushed in, followed by at least two guards. Damn, that was going to be awkward.

"I'm fine! I panicked, I didn't expect that, and uh . . ." She slowly got on one knee. "Do we have to leave now?"

"Oh please, I can handle more than that! Are you sure you are all right, though? You seemed very distraught?"

Catra signed. If this was going to be awkward, she refused to be alone in it. "Well, I happen to remember the last person who knew a spell like that, so, I don't know really."

Micah pulled back a little. It was unwarranted, but it did make Catra a bit happier, seeing that he understood at least a fraction of what she had felt. "Catra, I . . . I wanted to say I'm sorry."

"Hm?"

"I should not have bound them like that. I have had previous dealings with them, and I let those cloud my judgement over their current situation. I . . . I actually wanted to propose freeing them. I didn't want to make it awkward, but . . . well, it seems I've failed that . . ."

Adora cleared her throat rather loudly. "About that."

Both the king and Catra looked at her, waiting for her to continue as she blushed in embarrassment at the sudden attention.

". . . I might have just lifted their curse before you came in."

"Adora!" Catra hissed.

"What? You're the one who said it wasn't fair!"

"Ba blabah!"

Micah stealthily glanced behind himself, making sure the guards loitering by the door were out of earshot. "Did anyone see you?"

"I . . . don't think so?"

"Good. I can excuse a scratch and a chase through the castle as an accident, but . . . that would have been intentional treason." He took a deep breath. "Good. We can pretend I lifted it myself, and they caused a havoc, leading to a broken door and a couple scratches . . . speaking of, where did they go?"

Adora sheepishly pointed at a door.

". . . you do realize nobody can actually track them now, right?"

"Quite frankly, I expected to be kicked out of the castle when you found out, so I wasn't concerned about that."

Catra had sunk in a chair, playing with Finn and relaxing after a much needed breakdown. She was vaguely aware of the conversation going on, but didn't pay much attention - the tone was conversational, if a bit tired. There were a lot of things to be worried about, but she simply didn't have the energy for it anymore. She wanted to play with her kid, and spend time with her wife. So far, things were looking good about both.

"I'll have the guards check the castle premises for them. And . . . if it isn't too much, I'd ask you to stay in your room until then. I will escort you myself, I don't want them coming after you."

"Uh, yeah, I think we should manage. Catra?"

"Huh?"

". . . we should stay in our room until they've checked the castle."

"Oh. Right. Yeah. Come on, Finn. Let's go play with your toys."
